Retargeting Services

What It Is. What We Do. What You Can Expect.

Have you ever been on Amazon looking at a shoe and then notice that for the next 30 days, that stupid shoe is following you around wherever you go?

You pull up Facebook… shoe… your favorite news site… SHOE!? Candy Crush… you guessed it… IT’S THE SHOE!!!!

That’s retargeting… And it’s how we help businesses like yours stay in front of prospective customers until they buy.

We strategize and design ads for your products and services so that any time someone visits a specific page on your site, they are served the relevant ad for that content even after leaving your site.

The strategy behind retargeting – also known as remarketing – is straightforward… people often don’t purchase on first impression.

The rule of 7 in marketing says that customers need to see your brand at least 7 times before they commit to a purchase decision.

Retargeting keeps your brand in front of their face for up to 180 days and drives them back to your site.

After viewing this page, you might even see our retargeting ads appear across the web until you land on one of our conversion pages that triggers the ad network to stop running ads.

Hopefully you’ll convert… because retargeting is a cost-effective way to continue targeting potential customers, increase conversion rates, and not waste marketing dollars already spent in your sales funnel.

And you won’t have to see this silly advertisement ever again.

So how do we track the results of retargeting? There are some key metrics that will tell you how well your campaigns are performing.

A retargeting strategy that is working will yield positive increases in the following metrics:

  1. Impressions: This is the amount of times people saw your content in search results.
  2. Clicks: This is the amount of times people clicked on your content in search results.
  3. Conversions: Many customer actions can be considered a conversion, however, we typically only count a conversion as a form submission, phone call, or online sale. In some cases, certain client websites won’t allow us to track these conversions.

These metrics will all be tracked in your Lemonade Stand Measure Dashboard for you to view at any time. If you’ve been assigned an Account Manager to your account, they will be keeping track of these metrics for you and will present them to you in your monthly meetings, or whatever reporting schedule works best for you.

It’s important to keep in mind that retargeting is only one piece of the puzzle. A retargeting only strategy may be appropriate for some, however we recommend it as part of a more robust internet marketing strategy and combining it with other services such as Paid Search Marketing, Content Marketing, or Local SEO. Our team can take a look at your unique situation and help you decide which path makes sense for you.
